"Despite the snow we had a really good turnout for the District swimming gala. The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all enjoyed a variety of races from front crawl, backstroke, swimming through hoops and propelling mats across the pool!
With the scores for each section averaged out those who took part with 1 young person stood as much chance as the teams of 10.
Thorpe Acre won the Beaver Challenge Trophy.
Endowed School won the Cub Trophy
Nanpantan won the Scout Trophy (when we get one!)
Congratulations to all who took part, and a big thank you to all the leaders and helpers, especially Jackie for scoring, Colin & Jessica for judging, and Leah, Kayleigh and Mark for getting their swim kit on and helping the younger/weaker swimmers in the pool! Keep an eye out and we will publish the scores for each group."
