Loughborough Network Loughborough Area Scout Network is the local Network branch for Leicestershire County Scout Network. We are here to provide the next step in Scouting for older Explorer Scouts (17 and a half onwards), support members in gaining the top level Scouting awards and most importantly to offer some great opportunities to get (or stay!) involved in Scouting! We meet fortnightly on a Monday evening at Thorpe Acre Scout Hut, Loughborough, 8.15-10pm. On the programme you'll regularly see a mix of adventurous and fun activities such as sailing, climbing and hiking as well as some more relaxed evenings like socials or silly games. As a member of the Network there are always opportunities to take part in nights away events on either a national or local level, and you can be a part of both the organising committees and the participants! This is the key difference between Network and the younger sections, you are always in control! General Information
All members of The Scout Association between 18 and 25 years can be members of the Scout Network. As a member of the Scout Network you could be:

• a member of a local Network
• a Leader with another Section
• a Helper of Skills Instructor
• a member of the Scout Service and Support 
• a member in another capacity

Local Networks, can be based at County, District or Group; some may be focused around a specific activity or location, e.g. Gang Show, Activity Centre, climbing or canoeing.

Scout Network programmes will reflect the huge variation in Members' interests. Some local Networks will have activities that concentrate on one area of the programme, whilst others will have a wider range. One of the key elements is the opportunity to get away, either under canvas or in other accomodation.
